SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics, finance, or related majors or equivalent experience required
  • 5 years of sales experience with increasing responsibility and at least 2 years of managing a geographically distributed sales team
  • Experience managing opportunities and workflow using Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Experience using Outreach, Mode, or similar sales performance management tools
  • Possess strong negotiation skills and proven ability to effectively close leads
  • Experience with inbound and outbound inside sales functions
  • Interest in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital
  • Enjoy coaching, career development, and training of a top performing sales team
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results
  • Highly curious with a positive attitude
  • Superior organization and able to effectively manage a large team
  • High emotional intelligence and able to build trust with a diverse group of employees and stakeholders
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

PitchBook’s Manager, APAC Inside Sales works closely with their Inside Sales Director to oversee the inbound and outbound opportunity creation of their respective office. This includes headcount planning, developing, and maintaining ongoing training sales goals, maintaining sales team and office culture, and more. Manager, APAC Inside Sales is responsible for achieving monthly and quarterly goals for their department/office as well as developing a high-performance sales team with an emphasis on ongoing professional development.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a team of Sales Development Representatives and Business Development Associates in their respective geography to achieve monthly and quarterly demo booking goals
  • Maintain a team culture of excellence, performance, professionalism, and integrity
  • Maintain a regular cadence of 1:1s with each direct report to recap performance, identify areas of improvement, and support career development
  • Set, document, and measure objective and key results and goals through monitoring lead flow, daily activities, and quality of opportunities created
  • Report on weekly and monthly sales metrics and own responsibility for team results through Salesforce
  • Mentor and develop PitchBook Sales Development Representatives and Business Development Associates and create a motivating environment where they can excel
  • Facilitate new team member onboarding and trainings, collaborating with the People Development team as needed to update trainings
  • Customize training needs and provide coaching including role plays so that Sales Development Representatives and Business Development Associates achieve sales goals
  • Identify and exploit synergies across the Sales Development Representative and Business Development Associate teams
  • Ensure the Sales Development Representative and Business Development Associate teams are maximizing every lead and provide an exceptional level of service to prospects and internal clients
  • Work closely with our Business Development management to ensure a seamless client journey
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to build a high performing sales organization
  • Leverage a suite of tools, including Mode, Power BI, Salesforce, and Outreach, to monitor outreach quality, demo volumes, and lead conversion to achieve sales targets
  • Design and implement processes to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
  • Conduct respective team meetings to update Sales Development Representatives and Business Development Associates on best practices and continuing expectations
  • Collaborate with Global Managers to create customized training as necessary
  • Collaborate with sales management in our Seattle, New York, and London locations on process design and implementation as well as overall team initiatives
  • Assist on development of relevant marketing initiatives and communicate these initiatives to the Sales Development Representative and Business Development Associate teams
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
