The role
The primary function of this role is utilising coding, analytical, storytelling and stakeholder management skills to develop and share insights that shape future digital revenue and audience development strategies for our artists.
This includes the extraction, consolidation and visualisation of multiple data sources: intent led consumer insights, social data, 3rd party insights publications and consumption data from streaming platforms.

This role reports to the Head of Data & Analytics and will work closely with marketing and artist development managers to drive change and use of data.

  • Preparation and delivery of artists and subject deep dive.
  • Collaborating and forging strong relationships with stakeholders to develop and roll out new tools, dashboards to drive self-service on insights used in weekly label meetings across artists strategy and priority projects.
  • Identifying industry trends, relevant technology advancements and forging relationship with other global analysts to identify new opportunities and ensure we are sharing in and contributing to global best practice.
  • Working with rest of the data and analytics team to develop new ideas including new data features that can become valuable pieces of actionable insights for audience growth strategies.
  • Ensuring documentation of all processes, principles and policies is maintained and accurate.
  • Problem solving efforts.
  • Contextualising and turning data into valuable insights.
  • A high level of presentation development and delivery.
  • Effective prioritisation of initiatives.
  • Process documentation and ease to reproduce.
  • Forming and building business relationships with key stakeholders to drive data-driven decision.

About you

  • Strong experience with presentation and data storytelling
  • Degree qualified in data, statistics or other relevant fields
  • +3 years’ experience working in data
  • SQL experience an advantage but not necessary
  • Systems savvy, ability to learn new systems and technology
  • A working understanding of data analytics principles
  • Experience in drawing insights and formulating recommendations from data
  • Knowledge of mathematical and statistical techniques
  • Big picture, strategic thinker.
  • Comfortable working in a small team, following self-driven lines of enquiry, formulating, and testing hypothesis and engaging key stakeholders to build upon the work.
  • Knowledgeable about digital business, consumer trends, social media, and the music industry.
