Johnson & Johnson Health and Wellness Solutions (JJHWS) is recruiting for a Manager of Behavior Science under its Behavior Change Intelligence team. This position is in Raritan, NJ. This position will report to a Director, Behavior Science and will closely partner with other JJHWS functions to provide Behavior Science expertise in service of the company and strategic customers, with a specific focus on health and data solutions. The Behavior Scientist is required to ensure consistency of scientific methodologies and efficient utilization of resources. Initially, there is no expectation of direct repots, although that could evolve over time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a doctoral degree is required.
  • A focus in behavior science, social psychology, other public health-related fields, or equivalent focus in biomedical informatics as applied to health behavior is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of overall work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the development and measurement of behavior science and/or population-based interventions to support healthcare and health outcomes is preferred.
  • Experience in leveraging behavior theories and frameworks to design, develop, deploy and evaluate interventions is required.
  • Experience in developing and deploying technology-based behavior change solutions is preferred.
  • A passion for excellence and exceeding customer expectations is required.
  • Excellent internal and external customer facing skills are required.
  • Active listening skills, strong business acumen, and strong organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • An understanding of and ability to apply research and program evaluation methodology is required.
  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams is required.
  • Professional scholarly activity (e.g. conference presentations, peer-reviewed publications) is required.
  • An understanding of and ability to apply data science methodologies is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% is required.
    The anticipated base pay range for this position is 113000 to 195500.

Bonus Language : - The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional work groups to assess the health behavior challenges associated with business outcome(s) and identify the problems to be solved and workstreams needed to address these problems.
  • Recommend solutions and propose evidenced-based scientific requirements needed to inform and address the health behavior challenges to a business health outcome(s).
  • Create multi-level interventions, targeting individuals and organizations across the socio-ecological model, with a lens towards achieving health equity.
  • Implement and measure recommended solutions in different environments (e.g., test environment and real-world).
  • Consolidate insights and new evidence to support the update and optimization of solution(s) and ensure effectiveness.
  • Provide support to shape and execute dissemination strategies as needed through implementation strategies relevant to the project partner.
  • Author peer-reviewed journal articles and white papers related to the product solutions, health behavior change interventions, and behavior science frameworks.
