Digital and Technology and Solutions Division in the Department of Consumer Protection and Government Services is seeking a Manager to join their team.

Qualifications:

Essentials:

  • Post secondary degree in Computer Science or Business Management, or related disciplines or the equivalent combination of formal education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Leadership experience in an information technology environment overseeing the business analysis, system analysis, solution selection and other IT functions to address business needs.
  • Significant experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Significant supervisory experience with leading and managing a high performing team.
  • Proven excellent team-building and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated experience using various methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid Agile.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to balance competing priorities in a stressful environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong written communications skills.

Desired:

  • Experience with vendor management and writing procurement documents such as RFP (Request for Proposal), RFI (Request for Information) and RFQ (Request for Quote).

Duties:
Reporting to the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO), the incumbent will lead PMO’s business analysis unit. The business analyst unit conducts business analysis (requirements gathering and analysis), feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and process improvement. The incumbent is accountable for delivering the information technology program that includes, business management, innovation, lean and six sigma, quality assurances and provides related strategic, operational, and financial planning. The incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing IT policies and assist in annual IT strategic plan for PMO. The incumbent also assesses current project management portfolio performance and identifies changes to maintain or improve it using lean and six sigma methodology.
