THE OPPORTUNITY

South Bow is seeking a Corporate Development Manager who will play a key role in shaping the growth strategy for South Bow. The growth strategy will be inclusive of organic and inorganic growth opportunities in Canada and the United States. Â The leadership role will be responsible to identify, evaluate and generate new opportunities through strong relationships and through their extensive knowledge of the North American midstream industry. Â The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development and Marketing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or Engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Corporate Development
  • Experience in the midstream, crude oil and liquids industry  (a combination of the Oil, Gas, NGL and power industries will be considered
  • Understanding of the relevant markets and regulatory frameworks across Canada and the US
  • Proven track record of achieving results
  • Excellent leadership skills and a passion for developing people
  • Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Travel up to 25 percent of their time, between Canada and the United States will be required. Â The successful must be able to provide necessary documentation to support this need

South Bow’s existing oil & liquids pipeline infrastructure connects Alberta crude oil supplies to U.S. refining markets in Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas and the U.S. Gulf Coast. Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the South Bow leadership team to develop the near-term and long-term strategy to grow the business within corporate risk preferences
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external counterparties including industry peers and investment bank
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the evolving liquids energy markets, competitive landscape and industry trends across North America to inform our growth strategy
  • Identify and evaluate M&A opportunities that fit the South Bow strategic business objectives and align with the corporate growth and risk preferences
  • Lead due diligence efforts, negotiate deal terms, manage end-to-end M&A process
  • Facilitate collaboration and alignment with internal stakeholder groups, including Finance, Accounting, Legal, HR, Engineering, Projects, Operations
  • Demonstrate South Bow values in everything we do
  • Other tasks as required
