Your Role

As a Manager for Business Sector Clinical / Medical for microscopy applications such as in pathology, haematology, cytology and other related application fields, you’ll be accountable for the commercial success in these market segments within ZEISS Microscopy. You will be responsible for defining and executing marketing strategies for existing solutions, identifying new strategic market segments, initiate collaborations, develop the business, and give input into new product developments and roadmaps. You’ll be part of the market-oriented business sector team, where you will be working closely with Sales and Regional Marketing, external local marketing partners, and also with Product Managers and the Research & Development department. The role covers a global responsibility.

  • Conduct market research (environment analysis), develop a good market understanding, identify potentials & hurdles in the respective market segments mentioned above
  • Collaborate with strategic customers, opinion leaders, sales and SSC’s on understanding future trends and support R&D projects to promote innovation and customer value creation
  • Define customer and market requirements and identify opportunities for new solutions keeping in mind technological and commercial feasibility
  • Build a global growth strategy for the relevant markets and drive implementation of the resulting marketing roadmap
  • Act as primary point of contact for sales and distribution partners for guidance on global Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy
  • Conceptualise and develop marketing collaterals and campaigns to realise the growth strategy
  • Alongside with Head of Business Sector plan budgets and estimate forecasts for business development, sales funnel, investments, and marketing projects for the clinical and edical microscopy sector.

Your Profile

  • Academic background in natural sciences/biomedical or a clinical/medical background is desired. PhD/MD would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, product/solution marketing, business development of biomedical microscopy/medical Systems
  • Proven experience in successfully managing difficult negotiations and working in multicultural environments
  • Innovative bent of mind and strong bias for action with excellent communication skills
