Hours: Monday to Friday; 35 hours/week
Home Campus: Fennell (hybrid work arrangements available)
Rate of Pay: Payband 11 ($96,466 - $120,582 per year, plus 4% in lieu of vacation)

Functioning as a single mechanism, enabled by the strong backbone support of Mohawk College as the coordinating secretariat, C2R2 unlocks the ability to bring a national reach to regional expertise. With proven processes of deep collaboration, program operation, and comprehensive reporting, the coalition leverages the strength of all member institutions across Canada while remaining nimble and responsive to emerging market needs.
Mohawk College is an established leader in sustainability and holds a strong commitment to climate action. As such, supporting the mandate and activity of C2R2 is a strategic priority for the college.

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of the Canadian Colleges for Resilient Recovery (C2R2) secretariat is responsible for the administrative oversight of the 15 - member college coalition from across Canada including accountability to the President’s Group which is the highest-level authority for the coalition. The Manager ensures that all operational, governance and project deliverables are deployed in accordance with the structures defined. A primary role for the Manager is to serve as the ongoing lead for the creation and submission of new funding proposals and the successful deployment of proposals for which funding has been awarded.
Mohawk College is the Secretariat for C2R2 as defined by the approved Governance structure, and as such, the Manager reports to the Vice President Academic of Mohawk College who also serves at the Co-Chair for the C2R2 Steering Group.
To support and strengthen the coalition, the Manager deploys expert project management, stakeholder management, relationship facilitation and communications skills. The Manager oversees the coalition’s day-to-day operations, including member communications, supporting collaborative projects between member colleges, leading funding proposals, developing partnerships and managing working groups. The Manager also supports activities related to the coalition’s strategic communications campaigns, supports government relations activities, and oversees grant and fundraising activities. With the support of the coalition chairs, the Manager also designs processes and policies for the coalition.
The Manager must have the ability to work confidently with executive and senior staff at colleges across Canada, support communications with senior government officials and industry partners, supervise staff and possess superior communication skills.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Four year (4) degree in a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting large, complex, and externally funded projects that include diverse operational requirements.
  • Prior experience with: project management/stakeholder management/policy analysis/program design/public relations and marketing/human resources management.
  • Experience in a large, complex public sector organization.
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
  • The ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse students, employees, and communities.
