Job Title: Manager, Cancer Information Editorial and Translation

Salary Band: 6 ($64,000 - $96,000 CAD)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in publishing, editing, translation, user experience or a related field
- Project Management Professional certification an asset
- Experience managing a team of editors and translators.
- Knowledge of the translation process, terminology, tools and localization techniques.
- Knowledge of the editing process, tools and plain language.
- Familiarity with best practices for creating consumer health-related information along with an interest in emerging media and technical platforms.
- Familiarity with health literacy principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with information architecture, SEO, web usability and accessibility.
- Project management experience in a print or digital environment.
- More than 5 years, up to and including 10 years - extensive job-related experience in progressively more senior positions
- Strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in content development, editing, and translation.
- Willingness and ability to quickly grasp content development processes and technical and accessibility requirements.
- Willingness to stay updated on developments in translation and editorial standards and emerging AI tools and how they can be integrated into the content development process.
- Effective communication, delegation, and performance management skills.
