This is a 12-month fixed-term role where you will lead a team that delivers and communicates the capital deliverables and associated insights in relation to Suncorp NZ business including the provision of support to ensure all statutory requirements are met and will manage all aspects of Suncorp NZ’s corporate investment holdings together with retail superannuation and investment products.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver capital reporting, forecasting and performance management of the Suncorp New Zealand capital position, including consolidation of monthly actuals, quarterly forecasts and full year and half year capital results.
  • Ensure there is clear communication of outcomes and insights to stakeholders, including presenting at the Asset & Liability Committee.
  • Manage the maintenance and continual improvement of capital models, including risk-based capital models and stress testing models.
  • Lead annual reviews of ICAAP Summary Statement, capital targets, triggers and other capital related governance documents.
  • Manage the support for capital initiatives – local and Group wide and the provision of advice and input to support the Appointed Actuary in fulfilling all statutory requirements including oversight of RBNZ solvency returns.
  • Monitor investment performance including working with external partners to understand the drivers of performance and communicate to key internal stakeholders and external investors accordingly.
