As the Manager of Chemical and Regulatory Compliance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Knix’s products comply with all applicable chemical regulations and standards. You will lead efforts to manage chemical compliance programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in regulatory compliance processes. This role is vital in maintaining Knix’s reputation for safe, high-quality products that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical and regulatory compliance, preferably in the apparel or consumer goods industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Proposition 65, and other relevant global standards.
  • Experience with chemical safety assessments and risk management.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain chemical compliance programs to ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, providing timely updates and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage chemical safety data for all raw materials and finished products.
  • Collaborate with product development, sourcing, and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage relationships with external testing laboratories, regulatory agencies, and multi-stakeholder groups (i.e. AFIRM).
  • Provide training and support to internal and external teams on chemical management and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and records related to compliance activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in chemical safety and regulatory compliance processes.
