Position Title: Program Manager, Children and Youth Services
Program: Healthy Child Development
Location: Richmond/Vancouver
Terms: Temporary, Full-Time
Shifts: Standard work hours are Monday - Friday, however hours may vary to meet program needs
Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually
Reports to: Vice President, Children and Youth Services
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: February 28th, 2025, with possibility of extension.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years’ experience leading a team of staff or volunteers
- University Degree in related field preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills including strong business writing skills
- Experience in fundraising and grant writing an asset
- Computer proficient – Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- First Aid Certificate required
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to approximately 15 licensed before and after school care programs with a focus on building a strong team
- Coach, develop and support 2 direct reports and approximately 40 front line staff to achieve excellence in service Ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services that meet Provincial Licensing Legislation and YMCA requirements and standards
- Responsible for all aspects of budgeting and the implementation of a sound business plan
- Be an engaged and integral part of a cohesive management team, working to achieve the mission of the YMCA of Greater Vancouver
- Commitment and focused attention to ensuring the Branch meet’s association commitments and targets with regards to annual operating plans and budgets, fundraising, grant proposals, YMCA Initiatives, other special projects, while ensuring that all programs operate at maximum capacity.
