Emera is seeking a Manager, Cloud Application Support, to join our Digital Technology team and play a key role in advancing our digital strategy.
Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Technology, you will lead the development and oversight of Software as a Service (SaaS) governance, operating models and standards ensuring alignment with business goals by driving value for customers through innovation, operational excellence, and enterprise-wide digital adoption.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
This role will help the organization create greater value from SaaS use across Emera and its operating companies to understand impacts including capturing increased future value and enhanced risk management.
As the single point of accountability and ownership, this position will oversee in-scope policies and functional processes, driving standardization and the adoption of leading practices across all business units and functions. The governance framework developed will guide the delivery of support and services to customers, promoting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
This role will lead the creation and implementation of a new SaaS governance and operating model for all operating companies and develop a plan to ensure ongoing value creation through adherence to the model and its associated standards. Some of these tasks may include:

Working with stakeholders across Emera to close gaps in current enterprise processes to bring integrity, transparency and efficiency for establishing and operating SaaS solutions.
- Working with stakeholders across Emera to establish a best-in-class technology asset management practice.
- Develop and maintain SaaS operating standards
- Implement a communication and change management plan to ensure awareness and adherence to governance & operating frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Oversee the SaaS portfolio across Emera Operating Companies, including risk assessment, vendor management, and contract renewals.
- Drive cost optimization efforts related to SaaS licensing, procurement, and usage.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and governance policies, working with security and legal teams.
- Monitor performance, develop KPIs, and provide regular updates to leadership on SaaS performance and compliance.
- Provide ongoing training and support to business units to ensure adherence to governance frameworks and best practices.
- Develop a matrix to assess SaaS applications based on criteria such as cyber risk, users, data classification, and criticality.
- Define support standards for each SaaS tier, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- College Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree: Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- Technology Experience: 3-5 years’ experience working with technology systems
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:
- Technical proficiency of cloud-based services
- Policy and standards development and implementation
- Experience with application support models
- Understanding of risk management (cyber, vendor, data)
- Data analysis & reporting
- Experience enabling change impacting organizational people, process and technology
- Experience developing and managing leadership and stakeholder engagement
