Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering, the Manager, Cloud Operations will oversee the operational aspects of our cloud environment, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security. This role involves managing the existing cloud infrastructure, focusing on operational efficiency, vulnerability management, and security partnership. While this is a managerial role, the candidate will be expected to have hands-on technical expertise and actively engage in the implementation and troubleshooting of cloud operations.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE?

  • Cloud and Security Certifications are desired (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-500, CEH, CompTIA Security+).
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
  • Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Working knowledge of Network (LAN/WAN/VPN) topologies, protocols, and enterprise network equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes, software, and hardware.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive and Outlook).
  • Must model the Company’s core values and leadership behavior.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or closely related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • 6+ years experience in cloud services, platforms and infrastructure.
  • 6+ years experience with vulnerability management tools and security frameworks.
  • 3+ years experience in managing or leading technical team members.
  • Previous experience communicating cloud and infrastructure technologies to executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Oversee infrastructure vulnerability management requirements by partnering with IT Security to identify and mitigate risks to maintain security posture.
  • Partner with security teams to enforce cloud security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead day-to-day service requests and changes, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations while meeting defined SLAs.
  • Implement and oversee observability practices to ensure comprehensive monitoring and analysis of cloud operations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support cloud-based applications and workloads.
  • Monitor cloud costs and resource utilization, implementing strategies to control expenses.
  • Act as the most senior point of contact to facilitate technical work such as implementations and troubleshooting.
  • Stay informed on the latest cloud technologies and security trends to enhance operational procedures.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of service disruption.
  • Enhance support documentation and issue/solution database.
