JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE :Manager -Cloud Solutions
Responsible responsible for overseeing the business requirements and designing the cloud computing strategy , ensuing cloud systems are implemented and maintained effectively. Key activities includes developing business cases, conducts analysis and recommends effective solutions to meet functional, technical and meeting business needs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

  • Lead the cloud infrastructure team, setting clear objectives and evaluating progress while ensuring team cohesion and motivation.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Manage the cloud infrastructure budget, including forecasting, cost allocation, and cost optimization strategies to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of cloud resources.
  • Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities within the cloud infrastructure and work with security teams to develop and implement remediation strategies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and cloud service providers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Oversee the deployment of new applications and services to the cloud, ensuring best practices for cloud architecture and design are followed.
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based applications and data, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identifying bottlenecks or issues, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal service levels.
  • Facilitate communication between the cloud infrastructure team and other IT and business units to ensure alignment of cloud initiatives with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements to the cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new cloud technologies and services, including proof-of-concept projects to assess their potential impact on the organization’s infrastructure.Promote a culture of continuous improvement by leading lessons learned and post-mortem analyses to drive operational excellence.
