Responsibilities:

Industry Leadership

  • Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate regulatory bodies in Australia and act as the voice of James Hardie Building Products to shape Codes, Standards and relevant workplace regulations to enable strategic market initiatives and advance the core business
  • Communicate and manage expectations with external officials
  • Shape standards, acceptance criteria, and building codes through technical committee leadership, proactive surveillance and strategic networking
  • Inform and prepare the business for upcoming regulatory trends
  • Responsible for maintenance of certification for all products and systems across the Asia-Pacific businesses, to various Australian/ New Zealand and International codes and standards. (inc. AS2908 and ISO 8336 Fibre Cement standards & NCC of Australia / NZBC of New Zealand)

Support Commercial Activities

  • Collaborate with Application Engineering & Product/technical teams to support value propositions through testing that expands or opens new opportunities or markets for existing products. Manage testing and associated engineering analysis as needed
  • Influence and participate in James Hardie’s involvement in trade associations to manage risk and enable strategic initiatives
  • Provide high-level technical support in the form of design advice, product/system performance, and guidance relating to product application and use
