NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO | SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally clinical, in a relevant field or comparable experience working at a senior leadership level
  • 5+ years experience in varied environments with responsibilities for achieving equitable health outcomes and responsiveness to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Proven experience in public health leadership and leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Relationships with iwi/hapū and/or Pacific communities and leaders
  • Emergency Management / CIMS training and experience
  • Able to think, plan and act strategically and to connect with and inspire people to build a highly motivated and engaged workforce
  • Demonstrated mature communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write and present in a clear, persuasive, and impactful way, to influence others to embrace change, and to develop, unify and maintain strong internal and external relationships essential for achieving sustainable outcomes
