Description:

The Manager of Community Impact (MCI) oversees and directs activities supporting community development and outreach activities of St. Dominic’s Community Impact programs, including direct supervision of the Sister Trinita Community Clinic. The MCI coordinates activities of the Community Contributions Committee of the St. Dominic Hospital Board by setting the agenda, collects and pre-screens applications, maintains a record of the Committee’s decisions, initiates and oversees memoranda of understanding (MOUs), service agreements, and other legal documents related to community partners and sponsorships. The MCI also tracks community benefit reportable to the IRS.

  • Provide leadership and coordination of the ministry’s efforts to serve poor, underserved, and vulnerable populations that lies at the heart of Catholic healthcare.
  • Oversee execution of the triennial Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and resulting implementation plan.
  • Coordinate and advise the Contributions Committee of the St. Dominic Hospital Board of Directors to include: compile and screen applications to the committee, advise on alignment with CHNA and implementation plan, be a voting member of the committee, develop and nurture community partnerships, coordinate with finance to ensure a record of disbursements is maintained, initiate and oversee memoranda of understanding (MOUs), service agreements, and other legal documents related to community partners and sponsorships. Failure to have these documents may place the ministry at risk.
  • Manage the Sister Trinita Community Health Clinic.
  • Serve as a liaison between St. Dominic Hospital and the Care-A-Van mobile unit and FMOLHS wellness programs.
  • Align community impact programs and emerging initiatives with hospital and ambulatory divisions. This includes initiatives to address social determinants of health.
  • Enhance relationships with legacy partners and build new relationships that align with identified community needs.
  • Convene a semiannual Community Impact Advisory Group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Support finance in preparing the IRS Schedule H (Form 990) to demonstrate we provide a reasonable level of service to address identified community needs sufficient to justify not-for-profit tax-exempt status.
  • Oversee recording of community benefit activities, expenditures and value of contributed services using the platform designated by FMOLHS. Demonstrates professionalism, builds trust and credibility that reflect FMOLHS mission, vision and values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience - Minimum of three to five years of healthcare management experience required.
Education - Bachelor’s Degree
Special Skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with data entry and basic analytical skills. Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and with sensitive compassion. Self-starter, organized and results oriented. The ability of cooperation with diverse stakeholders within and outside the organization. Must be able to drive a vehicle, maintain state required automotive insurance and a valid state driver’s license within their state of residency. Must be able to travel up to 50% of working time.
