Responsibilities:

  • Manages at least 2 full-time exempt direct reports. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity, and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
  • Manages and drives the execution of compensation initiatives across North America.
  • Builds the analytical capabilities within the team to enhance base and variable pay programs to create a comprehensive total rewards package.
  • Leads the team to analyze market competitive position, compliance, and program effectiveness.
  • Acts as champion and change agent by anticipating HR-related needs and delivering value-added services for the benefit of teammates
  • Creates comprehensive communication plans and leads a team to execute communications to the field and functions for all programs and initiatives.
  • Provides expertise to ensure that programs and processes are compliant with regulatory and provincial requirements
  • Supports the design of Best in Class compensation programs and initiatives, including Rewards & Recognition.
  • Supports M&A in all compensation-related matters.
  • Collaborates effectively with the functional disciplines in the HR COEs to provide guidance and share best practices with local teams along the end-to-end rewards process
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
