Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $125,00-$140,00/yr. plus bonus. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate’s education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related field, HR, Risk, Business Administration, Leadership.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Risk or Claims Management.
  • Ability to Travel 30-35 percent in Central part of US.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrated decision making and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Multi-line experience a plus, especially Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Commercial Auto, including litigated claims.
  • Strong with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) risk management information system (RMIS) experience.
  • Through knowledge of Workmen’s Comp, Auto and General liabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, communication, measurement, and management of designated region risk activities.
  • Develop and implements risk management, compliance and cost savings measures, policies, and procedures for improved claims management.
  • Manage relationships with third party service providers including brokers, underwriters, and other third-party administrators (TPA).
  • Assist in investigations of new claims to aid third-party administrators in determining compensability.
  • Partner with all departments regarding incident reports and claims or losses.
  • Investigate, resolves, and responds to all property and liability claims under the direction of the Corporate Counsel.
  • Compliance with the Department of Labor and Industry regarding workers compensation claims reporting by jurisdiction.
  • Manages the workers’ compensation and incident reporting program and processes, assesses, and reports claims to carriers as appropriate.
  • Provide timely notification of claims to insurance carriers.
  • Communicate plans to address loss events.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement standards, processes, programs, and best practices related to risk management.
  • Manage all phases of the claims process from intake and investigation through litigation, settlement, and/or trial, and consults and/or participates in negotiations, conferences, and mediations with adjusting companies, outside as well as corporate legal counsel, staff, claimants, and other involved parties.
  • Evaluate reserves to insure appropriate payout.
