Reporting to the General Counsel and Chief Human Resources Officer, you will be a key player on Spectra’s Legal team, providing comprehensive support for contract management, corporate governance, and compliance initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, particularly sales. Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including sales agreements and vendor contracts.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure contracts align with business objectives and comply with legal standards.
- Provide legal guidance on sales initiatives and promotional activities.
- Maintain a centralized contract database and ensure all contracts are properly executed and stored.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance with terms and conditions.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents, including board resolutions, minutes, and annual reports.
- Support compliance with corporate governance policies and procedures.
- Conduct legal research to support corporate initiatives and advise on best practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies.
- Support the management of insurance policies
- Assist in the completion of necessary certifications and applications related to insurance and risk management.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations.
- Support the professional development of team members through training and feedback.
