Description:

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Customer relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with a flexible and positive attitude, Negotiation experience
  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts, including FAR and DFARS
  • Experience in FAR Part 12 and 15 contracting
  • Contracts Lead or direct engagement with external customers

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Join our dynamic team as a Contracts Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing complex contracts with U.S. Government agencies, prime contractors, foreign governments, and commercial clients. In this high-impact, independent contributor position, you’ll lead negotiations, manage contract deliverables, and serve as the primary interface for internal and external stakeholders. With the responsibility of handling government, international, and commercial contracts, you will be critical to ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering positive business relationships. This role requires strong leadership, as you’ll be trusted to operate autonomously, take initiative, and motivate cross-functional teams while delivering quality results to our diverse customer base. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Participate in proposal reviews and brief management on risks and mitigation strategies
  • Review and assess contractual terms for acceptability, risks, and impact, using company resources as needed
  • Identify risks and develop or provide alternative contract terms to mitigate them
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical practices, and applicable laws
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage contract life cycles
  • Coordinate inputs from sales, finance, legal, and service teams to structure contracts
  • Analyze contracts for compliance with policies, specifications, and requirements
  • Provide contract status updates and business advice to program managers and leadership teams
  • Ensure timely communication of contract details and maintain accurate records
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers on contract matters
  • Proactively resolve contractual issues and ensure proper contract closure
  • Work independently with minimal direction, exercising discretion in approach and decision-making
  • Occasional business travel is required but not limited to, site in Fairfield, California
