Description:

MANAGER, DERIVATIVES REGULATION

to the Commodity Derivatives Operations team in Espoo. The team is part of Neste’s treasury, which is a group of talented and analytical treasury and risk professionals.
We are looking for an expert, who has a natural interest in understanding complex regulatory matters and who has the motivation to drive understanding and compliance with regulatory requirements across the global organization. Your role will focus on reviewing current and emerging regulation and in translating that to understandable requirements that should be considered as a part of Neste’s ongoing businesses and projects. You will also manage ISDA master agreements for derivatives trading and act as the contact point for the commercial and contract teams in any ISDA related matters.

  • M.Sc. level studies in e.g. Law, Finance or Economics
  • Knowledge of current derivatives regulation in Europe, U.S and APAC and ability to manage ISDA agreements
  • Previous experience with financial instruments and working in a financial institution or a corporation active in commodity/energy trading
  • Proactive, analytical and structured way of working
  • Persistence and attention to details
  • Ability to effectively negotiate, collaborate and build relationship with various stakeholders
  • Good communication skills in Englis

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM

  • Manage ISDA Master Agreements and annexes.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with derivatives related financial market regulation such as EMIR, MiFID and Dodd Frank.
  • Manage Treasury’s other external and internal trading agreements e.g. hedging agreements and give up agreements
  • Authorize new traders and take care of appropriate exit procedures when needed.
  • Take care of onboarding derivatives counterparties and execution brokers
  • Monitor that key regulatory filings are met and support other internal teams in understanding the requirements.
  • Review and interpret the regulatory environment to determine applicability to current and potential business activities.
  • Maintain and develop internal processes and policies around your responsibility area and conduct trainings to internal stakeholders
  • Participate in projects and process development within Treasury and Risk Management
    You will collaborate closely with commercial teams, legal, clearing banks, execution brokers and regulators as well as other teams in Treasury and risk management.
