Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Manager of Development Operations manages the administrative processes and procedures that enable the fundraising cycle to execute consistently and smoothly. The responsibilities include
maintaining key information in SalesForce, the primary donor database, and researching and analyzing individual, corporate, and foundation prospects to produce concise profiles. The role will work closely with the fundraising team and will report to the Chief Philanthropy Officer. The work provides critical information needed to secure funding in support of Phalen Leadership Academies.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in library and information studies or nonprofit management.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years operations experience in a not-for-profit environment.
- Experienced using Salesforce as a CRM and various research tools such as iWave and Foundation Directory
- Superior written and oral communication skills in working with confidential data.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a complex environment.
- Deep appreciation and understanding of the PLA’s Core Values
- Excellent leadership skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
