    Job Description:
    Lead and Manage teams passionate about automating product development on AWS and On-prem, utilizing emerging Devops/cloud technologies. Support and build foundational and platform level capabilities on AWS levering infrastructure, Configuration and Pipeline as Code. Manage agile teams, providing leadership and technical guidance to ensure timely deliveries.
    Essential Functions:
  • Promotes the technology team’s vision, supporting the execution of strategic roadmaps, application development, and robust support models for products and services.
  • Collaborates with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions with a full-stack development approach.
  • Partners with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Information Management, and the Enterprise Project Management Office to facilitate the execution of both long-range and immediate business goals and objectives.
  • Develops, maintains, and enforces compliance with CoBank’s policy directives, application development, and maintenance standards, procedures, and methods.
  • Assists in the development and release of key software application modifications and enhancements, focusing on infrastructure, configuration, and pipeline as code.
  • Strategizes and implements a roadmap for cloud infrastructure development, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and industry best practices.
  • Manages and optimizes AWS cloud services and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate and streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
  • Leads the design and implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, enhancing the agility and speed of service delivery.
  • Ensures robust configuration management practices, allowing for consistent and reliable environment setups across development, testing, and production.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure management with application development, fostering a DevOps culture.
  • Guides the team in adopting and maintaining pipeline as code practices, ensuring that all deployment processes are version-controlled and tested.
  • Monitors and analyzes infrastructure performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal performance and availability.
  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to the DevOps team, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or a relevant discipline preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:
6 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or financial services, required
4 years of experience in software engineering, required
3 years of experience managing direct reports required
3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or other cloud required
1. Utilizes programming languages like Vue, HTML/CSS, Node.js, SQL, Python, Open Source databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services
2. Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle and related methodologies.
3. Proven ability to build high performing technology delivery teams that are integrated with the business and have a strong understanding of the needs of the business teams they support.
4. Proven ability to prioritize and manage a backlog of application development and maintenance work, estimating work tasks and forecasting level and mix of skills needed to support business objectives.
5. Advanced knowledge of business platforms and systems, methodologies, data governance, and reporting. Demonstrates and possesses an in-depth understanding of business needs and requirements.
6. Ability to develop and guide design, implementation and support procedures.
7. Ability to conduct peer and subordinate design and code reviews and evaluate the quality of IT deliverables
About CoBank:
The typical base pay range for this role is between $140,052 - $194,742. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
