Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Digital Experience is responsible for overseeing UFV’s public-facing, marketing-focused digital properties, ensuring a cohesive and engaging digital ecosystem that enhances user experience, content strategy, digital design, and front-end development. This role leads the web team in creating and managing digital platforms that sustain a high level of online engagement with UFV’s audiences, including prospective students and partners. The Manager collaborates with marketing strategists, content creators, web developers, and other clients to execute UFV’s digital strategy in alignment with institutional goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Web Design, Digital/Internet Marketing, or a related field from a recognized, post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in managing digital strategy, user experience, and web operations.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale website design and digital marketing initiatives, including architecture development, Google Analytics, SEO, and social media advertising.
  • Extensive experience with content management systems (CMS), including user role management, workflow design, template customization, and site administration.
  • Expertise in content management systems, including user and role definition, workflow setup, and template management.
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web usability design.
  • Strong project management skills, with demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex digital projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a broad range of partners.
  • Experience in managing human resources issues, staff scheduling, mentoring, and providing support to maximize team performance.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG compliance) and inclusivity principles.
  • Strong knowledge of digital strategy development, web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and user experience principles.
  • Familiarity with web governance standards, accessibility requirements (e.g., WCAG), and digital design best practices.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret web analytics, surveys, and client feedback to enhance digital content and user experiences.
