Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Individual Direct Channel (IDC), the Manager, Direct Sales & Retention will be responsible meeting annual net sales & retention targets.
You have experience in needs-based, consultative selling and understand how to help others exceed ambitious targets. You are a gifted leader, motivator, and coach with a passion for building and developing high performing, client-obsessed teams.
You understand the regulatory landscape of the insurance industry with experience leading both licensed and non-licensed sales teams, in-house and through outsourced sales vendors.
You are process driven, understanding how to create replicable sales experiences using scripting, guidance models, rewards & recognition programs and technology to support your agents. You are an expert at interpreting sales KPIs & analyses and translating your insights in improvement actions.
You foster a positive work environment and pro-actively anticipate staffing or results challenges, coming equipped with suggestions or insights in your constant pursuit of the possible.

What will you do?

  • Lead a team of sales & retention agents to exceed their operational, client experience, and revenue targets.
  • Utilize best practices in coaching and development of sales agents in a needs-based or non-licensed insurance sales capacity.
  • Manage all contracted sales vendors, inclusive of call monitoring, activity & service level targets, results management, quality assurance, quality of advice, site visits, and process adherence.
  • Manage the rewards & recognition program for inhouse sales agents and sales vendors.
  • Investigate complaints relating to sales or retention calls and provide feedback.
  • Support the evolution of the Greenshield D2C and Group Conversion sales operations into an omni-channel, best of class direct distribution centre.
  • Lead initiatives specifically tied to front-end sales delivery and consult or partner with others as a key stakeholder where sales operations is impacted.
  • Provide weekly sales & retention updates with forecasting on month, quarter, and annual results.
  • Perform strategic and business analysis identifying key issues and proposing recommendations to pivot or solve relative to sales performance and KPIs.
