Job Title: Centre Manager
Reporting to: Donegal Sexual Assault & Rape Crisis Centre Chairperson & Centre Board of Directors
Staff Reporting: All staff (Clinical & Administration)
Location: DRCC Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, F92PN40
About Us: Donegal Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Centre offer FREE one to one counselling, support & advice to those aged 12+ who have been affected by recent & historic sexual violence in a confidential, safe & friendly environment. We also provide support to family, friends & supporters.
Our Vision: A society free from sexual violence, abuse & exploitation with healthy communities & human interactions.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
· A third level qualification (level 8 or above) in a relevant discipline - Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Healthcare (Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health Professional) Community Development, Social Care.
· Considerable previous experience in a senior coordination or management role in a similar organisation or sector.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
· A recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy, accredited with the Irish Association of Counselling & Therapy (IACP), the Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) or equivalent accrediting authority.
· Previous relevant experience dealing with Victims of Sexual Crime.
1. PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Demonstrates:
· A thorough understanding of the sector, knowledge of the counselling process, & the policy & practice issues involved in providing a service in the area of sexual violence & abuse.
· Knowledge of relevant regulatory & legislative requirements & policy.
· Knowledge & experience of relevant HR policies
· Knowledge & experience of financial management & control.
· A commitment to quality processes & service improvement
· Experience of managing a budget & a demonstrated understanding of
· financial management.
· An ability to develop, implement & oversee good systems, processes, &
· procedures that delivery high quality services.
· Experience of planning & implementing projects.
· Demonstrable commitment to the stated ethos & values of Donegal Sexual Assault & Rape Crisis Centre [DRCC].
· Up to date knowledge of corporate & charities’ governance.
· Strong IT, administrative & organisational skills.
