We’re looking for a Manager, Emerging Business in London
Purpose Statement:
Key member of the Emerging Business Team in the activation of New Revenue Ventures across Liberty Global and Operating Companies.

Main Responsibilities:
- Report to Vice President within the Emerging Business Team
- A Manager is expected to be able to:
- Actively researching, scoping, and developing business cases for new growth areas which may be of interest to the business (e.g. determining market size/ addressable market, growth trajectory and rationale, structure of proposition, competitive landscape and macro trends, etc.)
- Own and develop clear and concise presentation decks for executive / board level
- Ownership of Investment pipeline & investment research/ discovery/ scoping cadence, & Ongoing management of investment pipeline with line manager; active development of new investment ideas in collaboration with line manager/ EB team/ Ventures team/ other internal stakeholders to evaluate potential investment targets
- Agile and ongoing product development work to stand up, test, incubate, and scale new initiatives (including delivery of additional information required to scope new proposals: information/ research needed to achieve MVP, minimum data requirements, etc.)
- Ongoing and autonomous ownership of managing all BAU processes, projects, financial reporting, regular operational reporting, and constantly searching for ongoing opportunities to leverage/ lift & shift existing teams/ resources in the existing organisation to benefit the acceleration of our initiatives (e.g. spark, think big, coordination of ventures)
- Ongoing stakeholder engagement with OpCo innovation & incubation teams
- Help develop & mentor the analysts and grads in the team
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across the Group
Context/Environment: About Liberty Global’s Strategy & Corporate Development Group
Liberty’s Strategy Group has five primary functions:
- Guide the overall LG Group Strategy
- Assist in the active management of the LG asset portfolio
- Mergers & Acquisitions - Liberty is an acquisitive company looking at acquisitions across the TMT space, The Group Strategy team plays a key role in the process
- Specific strategic evaluation – the Strategy Group actively monitors and formulates the Group’s strategy regarding specific market developments and their likely impact on the Group
- Help assess and challenge the each countries Strategic & Financial Long Range Plan
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Relevant years of experience gained in consulting or other corporate strategy departments in technology/media industry firms
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Business Degree / MBA / Finance and Economics
- Startup experience a bonus
- Passionate about building new businesses from scratch!
