ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently searching for a dynamic and experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our Australian business on a permanent basis.
Based in our QLD head offices in Brisbane, the ER Manager will play a vital role in partnering strategically with, and providing Employee Relations (ER) guidance to, our senior leaders and line managers (both operational and functional) across our East Coast business.
A key focus of the ER Manager will be to work hand in hand with our business leaders, HR Managers, employees, and unions. This collaborative approach is essential to ensure that all parties are aligned and working towards common goals.
The ER Manager will provide Employee Relations management for our Coal, Metals, and Manufacturing businesses by effectively addressing and resolving workplace issues, ensuring compliance with relevant industrial agreements, and fostering positive relationships between management, employees, and unions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Leading the enterprise bargaining processes across Orica’s Coal, Metals, and Manufacturing businesses, ensuring agreements are fair, compliant, and beneficial to both the company and its employees;
- Effectively addressing and resolving a wide range of workplace issues, including disputes and grievances, to maintain a positive and productive diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment;
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industrial agreements and employment laws, providing guidance and oversight to management and HR teams;
- Fostering positive relationships between management, employees, and unions by promoting open communication and collaborative problem-solving;
- Supporting HR Managers in implementing employee relations initiatives and strategies that enhance workforce engagement, performance, and overall organizational effectiveness.
