In this role, you will:

Lead an enforcement team, foster effective teamwork, including by training and developing staff

  • Manage the development and implementation of enforcement strategies with long-term measurable results
  • Oversee enforcement activities including investigations into potential regulatory breaches and taking enforcement action
  • Instructing solicitors and legal counsel in litigated matters
  • Plan, manage and oversee delivery of the enforcement team’s work program including effectively managing resources between business as usual and project activity to deliver the Energy Division’s priorities
  • POSITION DETAILSThe commission is Victoria’s enforcement regulator for the State’s energy market. It is responsible for ensuring compliance with Victoria’s energy rules, including investigating and enforcing breaches of Victoria’s energy laws.The Manager, Enforcement, leads an enforcement team within the Compliance & Enforcement branch. As a people leader, you will be required to manage, coach, inspire and empower your team to deliver exceptional enforcement outcomes. A core feature of the role is the ability to identify and pursue enforcement matters in accordance with the commission’s strategic priorities. Demonstrated experience in best practice investigatory techniques and leading teams in risk-based regulation are vital to the success of the role. Significant leadership experience in developing and managing investigations teams are also highly regarded.As a member of the leadership group of the Energy Division, the Manager, Enforcement, will also be expected to contribute, support and drive the high-performance culture of the division.Please refer to the attached position description for the principal functions and key selection criteria.THIS IS A FIXED TERM POSITION UNTIL 30 MARCH 2026.
