About the Role
As part of the CRO – Technology & Data Risk function, the role of the Enterprise Technology Risk Manager is to work across multiple areas and projects to oversee the identification and management of key risks and ensure compliance requirements are met. You will foster strong working relationships with assurance, business and technology teams and provide insights, advice, and guidance.

What will your day look like?
As an Enterprise Technology Risk professional (2nd line), you will:
Build and foster strong relationships with Senior Management and stakeholders and provide operational risk management advice, guidance, and expertise – being the primary contact for relevant Business Units for all risk matters.
Contribute to resilient business operations and strategic objectives through oversighting and supporting the adoption and usage of the ANZ Operational Risk Framework (I.AM) to effectively manage operational risk and a culture where risk is everyone’s responsibility.
Identify and recommend solutions to current and emerging Operational threats to business areas.
Perform targeted independent reviews of risk management practices and controls to determine maturity and areas for improvement.
Form and present opinions on risk management maturity and influencing required activities.
Conduct periodic training and awareness campaigns of risk management frameworks and tools across business area.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Technology expertise with experience in risk management and compliance.
Good understanding of banking processes and challenges.
Strong relationship management skills with evidence of working effectively with and influencing business executives.
Excellent negotiating, influencing and conflict management skills.
Good understanding of Cloud service models (PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS) and their benefits, risk and controls.
An analytical mindset and an ability to derive insights using risk and operational data.
Experience is designing and assessing controls and assurance practices.
Strong business and commercial acumen and judgment in forming risk opinions and recommendations.
Sound understanding of Risk and Control Frameworks and how they are practically applied to support sound risk outcomes.
Confidence to own your opinions and challenge in a professional manner.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Tertiary qualified, ideally with Professional and, or Post Graduate qualifications with strong technically relevant skills and understanding of technology risk (including Cloud Computing).
