THE JOB: Manager, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $92,077 - $115,096
Reporting to the Director, ISAR and EDI the Manager, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) is responsible for delivering on the organization’s commitments to Equity Diversity and Inclusion.
The Manager, EDI will oversee the organization’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives including employee and member facing activities while ensuring integration of EDI principles and practices throughout the organization. The Manager works with and is responsible for the workplans of leadership bodies such as the Doctors of BC Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Advisory (IDEA) Committee, the Joint Collaborative Committees, and the EDI Employee Working Group.
The Manager, EDI cultivates trusting and respectful connections and relationships with community leaders, educators, and other representatives from equity-deserving groups.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Provides leadership, oversight and strategic advice related to the deliverables of the organization’s EDI portfolios and identify areas of risk and provide recommendations to ensure effective management of those risks to leadership.
- Maintains knowledge of EDI related issues, trends, legislation, and best practices.
- Provides guidance and expertise on how EDI principles can be integrated and actioned within the Operations Department and across the organization.
- Collects and analyzes data to evaluate the organization’s EDI initiatives in accordance with defined industry standards and goals.
- Supports the operational components of the ISAR and EDI team, including day-to-day leadership, employee development, mentorship, and guidance for direct reports inclusive of staff responsible for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
The Manager, EDI will advance strategies and best practices for elevating Equity, Diversity and Inclusion while acting as a strategic EDI advisor to the organization’s committees and their respective staff. The role works in collaboration with other teams across organizations, as well as key partners, such as Ministry of Health and Health Authorities to ensure alignment of activities with provincial direction and strategy.
