We are excited to announce an open position in Valmet’s Ethics & Compliance (E&C) team, where you can make a positive impact by ensuring our global operations follow the highest ethical and legal standards.
We are looking for an experienced Manager, Ethics & Compliance with high integrity to join our E&C team. Valmet E&C is responsible for the global implementation of the E&C program across all Valmet functions and business areas. Our focus areas include creating an ethics and compliance culture, anti-corruption program, trade and sanctions compliance, third-party management, competition law compliance, and overseeing the Valmet misconduct reporting process. This is a global role that allows you to work with colleagues and stakeholders throughout our business.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Providing expertise and advice to Valmet business functions on E&C topics and the E&C program
  • Creating and organizing trainings on the Valmet E&C program
  • Monitoring the development of laws and regulations in the main E&C focus areas
  • Driving and developing E&C program-related policies and controls
  • Communicating the Valmet E&C program clearly to stakeholders internally and externally
  • Participating in monitoring the effectiveness of the E&C program and preparing materials for reporting to top management
  • In cooperation with other functions, introducing and performing internal audits and following up on implemented E&C focus area efforts

Who is the professional we are looking for? To be successful in this role, you have:

  • Master’s in Law preferred; MSc in Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields also considered.
  • Preferably close to five years of work experience in at least one of the E&C topics
  • Full professional proficiency in English, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in speaking and writing. Finnish or Swedish language skills are a bonus
  • High integrity and a mindset of wanting to do the right thing in both business and personal conduct
  • Deeper knowledge of the requirements and legislation related to at least one of the E&C topics
  • Experience in different types of communication and providing trainings
  • The ability to work independently as well as cooperate within a global organization
  • A self-driven, enthusiastic, and results-oriented working style

This is a newly established position with possibilities to tailor responsibilities based on your interests and expertise. The role is located at the Valmet head office in Keilaniemi, Espoo. You must be willing to travel occasionally. The Manager, E&C will report to the Director, Ethics & Compliance and will be a member of the Valmet in-house legal team.
