ILPA is the only organization dedicated exclusively to the private markets’ Limited Partner community. Representing over 600 institutions and more than $2 trillion USD of private markets assets under management, ILPA’s members include public pensions, corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, insurance companies, and sovereign wealth funds located around the world. Through its efforts in the areas of education, advocacy, standards and best practices, and networking, ILPA aims to have a direct and expanding impact on the investment returns of our members and the health of the private markets industry globally.
This will be a hybrid position, coming into the office (at least) three times a week initially, and at least twice per week after the conclusion of the onboarding period.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities: The Manager, Events is responsible for the planning and execution of The Institutional Limited Partners Association’s (ILPA’s) Legal Conference, LP-GP Roundtables, regional Member Gatherings and roundtables, and ILPA Board Meetings. The Manager, Events will outline the plan for each event, build out budgets, manage and execute all of the logistics attached to each line item and deliver on specific metrics set each year. The Manager, Events is expected to drive the agenda design for the events and work with the ILPA Leadership team to build future events as the program grows.
Roles and Responsibilities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in Event Management preferred
- Three to five years of experience or equivalent with event management, coordination, or execution
- Registration and communications best practiced, experience and event registration platforms, including CVENT and Salesforce, is considered a strong asset
- Experience with Pardot or similar marketing automation tools considered an asset
- Experience in associations, financial services or private equity will be considered favorably
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Problem-solving orientation and ability to manage through stressful situations; resourceful and forward thinking; able to anticipate future issues and mitigate risks or challenges
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the proven ability to work within strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Process design expertise, enabling consistent execution and scalability
- Meticulously detail-oriented and passionately customer-focused
- Team player who is highly collaborative and skilled at working across globally dispersed teams
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills – in particular with senior-level executive stakeholders
