We are currently searching a Manager (f/m/d) in R&D Sustaining Engineering based in Munich.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree or local equivalent of same
- At least 8 years of professional experience as an engineer or comparable professional experience
- Experience in the medical device industry and FDA regulations is an advantage
- Experience with project management
- Experience with product development on a global basis is preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Mature problem solving skills
- Excellent analytical and creative thinking with strong problem solving skills and the ability to identify and promote new technologies
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others in a team environment
- Ability to understand complex systems, lead R&D projects independently and participate in the management of complex projects
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for leading the definition, planning and execution of sustaining programs that include project management, systems engineering, and software/electrical/mechanical engineering for an assigned area
- Develops integrated plans for the successful execution of programs and manage the team against budget targets and is responsible for aligning priorities and resources with business direction, schedule and budget commitments
- Plans and coordinates all aspects of global sustaining projects from initiation to completion
- Developing effective methods to ensure cost, schedule, quality and validation to achieve performance metrics as well as working closely with new product development teams, providing expertise and inputs to increase the level of efficiency, maintain high quality products and maximize performance are critical to this role
