We’re looking for our next Manager, Finance Business Partner. Could it Be You?
The Manager, Finance Business Partner is a key member of the Corporate FP&A team whose purpose is to deliver insightful financial information and analysis to the executive team to support decision-making across the organization.
What’s it like working as a Manager, Finance Business Partner at Questrade?
Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, FBP, you will support the business leaders in various corporate functions, by providing financial insights into the performance of the business unit. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination and update of our consolidated financial model, and support Journey headcount tracking and reporting.
You will work closely with the business unit leaders in the development and tracking of financial budgets, forecasts (including relevant financial KPI’s) and the preparation of business cases for new initiatives and use this financial information to influence decision-making, leading to overall business growth.

Responsibilities:
- Supporting business unit leaders in the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets.
- Supporting the Senior Manager in the development and maintenance of the consolidated financial model.
- Working closely with P&C and other members of the finance team in tracking and reporting on Journey headcount.
- Developing and maintaining financial models and evaluating various opportunities using financial valuation methods, including discounted cash flow, investment cost, IRR/NPV, comparable analysis, etc.
- Conducting various financial modeling projects on operational short-term and long-term strategic planning initiatives.
- Providing monthly and annual operating results analysis against budget and reporting results to business unit leaders in customer services, sales and marketing.
- Leading and assisting with special projects within the Finance team.
- Pursuing continuous improvement in business processes for FP&A.
- Motivating, leading and setting performance objectives for employees and providing regular feedback.

- Hold a Post-secondary degree / diploma in a related field
- Hold a CPA designation
- Have 5+ years of related work experience in FP&A, with at least 2 years at a leadership level
- Have exceptional Excel skills and experience building and maintaining complex financial models
- Have advanced PowerPoint /Google Slide skills
- Have excellent communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of leadership, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and analytical skill
- Are results driven
- Are able to multitask and work well under pressure, maintain strong attention to detail and prioritize work within tight deadlines
