Description:

mdf commerce Inc . is an international team of approximately 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to optimize and accelerate commercial interactions of its B2B and B2G customers.
Reporting to the Vice President Finance, we are currently looking for a Manager, Finance who will be specifically in charge of our GovTech division.
Responsibilities:
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES LOOK LIKE?
In this role, you will be led to:
- Organize, manage and oversee the accounting for a variety of revenue streams and the allocation of associated expenses for the GovTech division.
- Develop relationships of trust and strategic partnership with division managers and executives.
- Participate in the review and analysis of customer contracts and make accounting recommendations.
- Prepare and analyze key information for FP&A, sales and management teams.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and operational reports and analyses for internal purposes, in support of decision-making.
- Supervise financial accounting according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Carry out business analyses including return on investment on current and future projects and customers.
- Actively participate in the development and execution of strategic finance initiatives, including M&A and integration of acquired companies.
WHAT ELEMENTS OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND WILL BE NECESSARY AND USEFUL IN THIS ROLE?
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret and synthesize complex information and make decisions based on experience and judgment.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS standards and their application.
- Experience in implementing financial systems or transformation projects.
- Desire to work in a dynamic, changing and growing environment.
- Autonomy, sense of priorities and ability to work under pressure and effectively multi-task.
- High energy level, results-oriented.
- Motivation, initiative, team spirit and strong organizational skills.
- Inter-team collaboration, stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English, both oral and written, due to frequent interactions with English and French-speaking internal and external colleagues and partners in Canada and the United States.
- Excellent Excel skills, adaptability with accounting systems.
- CPA designation, with ten years’ experience in finance in progressive roles.
- Ability to influence decisions, collaborate across teams, challenge teams.
- Previous experience in the technology sector is a considerable asset.
