Job Description Summary:
CFA Institute are looking for an experienced finance professional with a passion for managing diverse projects and driving continuous improvements. Join our dynamic Finance team as a Manager, Finance Operations, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting financial, operational, and strategic goals across the division.
About the Role
As the Manager of Finance Operations, you’ll be at the heart of our Finance Division, managing a wide range of projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, facilitate internal communications, and lead key operational processes. In this fun and interesting role each day will be different, blending project management, financial analysis, and strategic collaboration. You’ll have a direct impact on the success of the division and have the opportunity to learn along the way and grow your career.
The position reports to the Director, Finance Business Operations. It is eligible for hybrid/remote work, however the successful candidate will be required to work from the central London office one day a week.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting & Budgeting: Lead the budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial reviews. Collaborate with senior finance leaders to draft reports and presentations for leadership meetings.
- Project Management: Oversee finance-related projects, ensuring progress is tracked, risks are mitigated, and efficiency opportunities are identified.
- Insurance Program Management: Manage the organization’s Enterprise Commercial Insurance Program, liaising with brokers and overseeing renewals and claims.
- Divisional Communications: Develop and manage communications across the division, including newsletters, intranet updates, and employee engagement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a finance environment with direct finance experience.
- Professional accounting qualification and membership in a recognized accounting institution.
- Proven track record in financial analysis and project management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and present to senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A strategic thinker with a keen eye for continuous improvement.
- An individual with an agile and positive mentality
Travel:
- Occasional travel to CFA Institute meetings, events, no more than 5%
