Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
In this role, as Manager Finance, People Operations you will be responsible for ensuring the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis responsibilities are fulfilled globally for People Operations. This role also provides financial support for costing and managing People Related programming and initiatives as part of the HR Operations COE.
The above will be achieved by working closely with People Operations Department leaders and building strong relationships with Finance partners at Corporate and across the Business Divisions. This position supports the People Operations team in the proactive management of the budget and effectively influences positive operational improvements and change to gain efficiency and accuracy across business divisions, analyzing global spending and identifying alignment opportunities.
Based in Vancouver, BC, this role will report to the Senior Director, HR Operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead annual budget and regular forecasting process, preparing cost center spend reports, and invoice oversight for all People Operations cost centres, as well as consolidated reporting of total People spend across the MAG Group of Companies.
- Actively participate in the annual short/long-term incentive and annual salary review process including costing, reporting and project support.
- Evaluate People programs financial impact, supporting day-to-day processes, reviewing monthly reconciliation, monitoring actual plan costs and reporting, and completing financial analysis as needed.
- Partner with Corporate Finance, IT and People Operations COEs to ensure integration with Finance systems and functionally is optimized with business processes.
- Complete operational reporting including headcount reporting and Quarterly Business Review reporting.
- Provide support with financial analysis of People Operations special projects and leading process improvements.
