About The Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing the month, quarterly and year end closes for a sizeable portfolio, and will have a team of professionals reporting to you. You will also take on exciting projects and initiatives to continuously improve processes and procedures.

In this role, you will…

  • Acquisitions: Serve as the primary lead for all North America acquisitions from the accounting perspective. Responsible for opening balance sheet review/testing, reconciliation of preliminary closing statement to final closing statement, financial reporting onboarding (set up of monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting requirements). Key contact for external auditors as it relates to opening balance sheet audits.
  • Integrations: Primary lead for accounting during the operational integration process. Process review of local accounting and integration into corporate accounting processes/procedures. Represent accounting in integration cross-functional team meetings, liaison with other shared services teams on integration issues impacting multiple teams.
  • Oversight of Non-Centrally Accounted Entities: Ensure monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting requirements are met. Resource for local teams on process changes/best practices.
  • Internal Projects: Liaise with accounting teams to review/update various internal projects and present to accounting leadership on various project progress..

What You Bring:

  • CPA designation required
  • 8+ years financial accounting experience
  • 2+ years in a managerial role.
  • Public or Private entity accounting audit experience is required
  • Experience with acquisitions and integrations is an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP preferred)
  • Ability to travel within North America as required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $74,690.00 to $120,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
