Job Description
As a key member of the team reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting, you will help prepare the company’s external financial reports, including quarterly and annual financial statements, Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and securities filings for both Canada and the United States. You will collaborate with your Finance Department colleagues on various accounting entries, such as lease accounting, conduct technical accounting analyses, and contribute to maintaining a robust internal control structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual external Financial Statements, MD&A and securities filings in Canada and the United States, including preparation of note disclosures and accompanying support
  • Review of Financial Statements and reports that meet all regulatory and accounting guidelines
  • Preparation of required quarterly and annual filings with the OSC and SEC
  • Participate in quarterly reviews and annual year-end audit of Financial Statements
  • Responsible for lease accounting and analysis, providing support for Canada Goose’s global lease portfolio
  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly Financial Statements and certain accounting entries and account reconciliations, including the following areas:
  • Lease accounting
  • Long-term debt
  • Derivatives and hedge accounting
  • Execute internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes, and procedures
  • Support new systems or project selections and implementation from a strategic finance and internal control perspective
  • Subject matter expert on IFRS, with a focus on providing advice and guidance on all technical accounting matters and preparation of documentation on the accounting assessment
  • Implementation of new IFRS standards as applicable
