POSITION OVERVIEW:

The purpose of this role is to provide oversight, guidance, training and assistance to the Business Analysts within the Fund Services Support Team.
This role will work closely with the Directors and BA’s within the Fund Services Support team, CIBCM / CIBC / Client IT teams, system vendors and Fund & Portfolio Services (FPS) teams to ensure FPS used systems are working as expected, and solutions to issues are actively worked on by the appropriate partner(s). In addition, they will be responsible for ensuring business requirements and testing is complete for delivered solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on accounting or finance
  • 5 years experience in Mutual Fund accounting, or Investment administration or operations

Specific Knowledge & Skills (not preferred or an asset)

  • A detailed understanding of Investment / Fund accounting, operations, processes, and enabling technologies
  • Strong knowledge of application security and change management controls
  • The ability to produce diagnostic, actionable deliverables to satisfy business needs
  • Subject matter expertise on core business systems and interfaces (i.e. W360)
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate across multiple levels of management and / or clients
  • Strong situational analysis and decision making skills
  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence and persuade others to move toward consensus

Working Conditions Unique to Job (i.e. Standard Office Environment)

  • Weekend oversight and support as necessary

Responsibilities:

  • Lead BA’s in their support role for W360 and integrations with W360 including training, issue resolution, audit requests and support operations
  • Provide first line of escalation for user and technical support for FPS systems used including W360 and integrations with W360
  • Coordinate with CIBCM IT teams for support of FPS business teams to ensure daily system continuity and upstream / downstream data is delivered successfully
  • Lead BA’s for requirements, development, maintenance and support for W360 reporting database solutions using Tableau and SQL Developer
  • Lead BA’s for requirements, testing, maintenance and support of W360 enhancements
  • Review work of BA’s as needed in support of the Fund Events initiatives of our Client
  • Leads and coaches team members, supports and activates change and ensures effective human resources management (selection, employee development, performance management and rewards and talent management) to support the achievement of department goals and promote a positive employee experience
