JOB DESCRIPTION: GLOBAL CONTAINER SERVICE NETWORK AND TRAINING LEAD

We are seeking an accomplished leader to head our Global Container Service Network and Training program. This position is responsible for driving excellence in global container service operations through network capacity analysis, developing targeted training programs, and enhancing service delivery across field service teams and customers. This role also requires close collaboration with Technical Services and Product Engineering teams to develop training materials that cover a broad spectrum of technical knowledge areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred), with at least 4 years of relevant industry experience in training delivery.
  • At least 10 years of experience in aftersales network animation.
  • Strong experience in designing and conducting training for temperature-controlled containers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to simplify complex technical information into accessible training formats.
    Location: Rotterdam EMEA HQ Container or Syracuse.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Network Capacity Analysis: Assess and project required service workshops and technician needs based on the installed base growth and maintenance demands.
  • Training Program Development: Design and implement training initiatives that elevate capabilities across field service teams, customers, and service partners. Training delivery includes in-person sessions and onsite support at customer locations.
  • Training Administration: Oversee the global container training schedule, manage registration, and leverage digital platforms for training delivery and content development.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with the Technical Services team and assist Product Engineers in creating comprehensive technical training manuals.
  • Network Development: Work with Aftermarket leaders to pinpoint areas for service coverage enhancement, support the consolidation of service partners, and identify top-performing partners.
  • Business Evolution Vision: Analyze and foresee the network business evolution, particularly focusing on Mods & Upgrades, to develop new revenue sources.
  • Standards and Compliance: Define repair, mods, and retrofit business standards, and initiate an annual audit program to ensure compliance and service quality.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Training Content Development: Create instructional materials for new product launches (e.g., OptimaLINE, “Reefer of the Future”), new upgrades, and modifications for hardware, software, and telematics.
  • Collaboration with Experts: Regularly work with subject matter experts to keep training content accurate and up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Internal and External Training: Facilitate product, sales, service, channel, and telematics training for both internal teams and external customers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of marine industry and reefer technology advancements to ensure training remains relevant.
