Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join our team as the Global People Engagement Manager.
In this new role you will be part of the Global People Strategy and Alignment team, reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy and Alignment. The role will support the development of key areas related to multi-year engagement planning, aligning, and directing Global People communications and ensuring our Global People Vision and Strategy is ‘lived and breathed’ every day throughout our function.
Our team, in collaboration with our Global People partners, brings the Vision, Strategy and priorities to life through people alignment and engagement. Our goal is for all work we do in the Global People Team to help us achieve our Strategy and priorities, and for every member of the Global People team to understand how their work contributes to the Vision and Strategy.
In this role you will:
- Develop and lead the strategic plan for the design and implementation of Global People engagement including Executive messaging and narrative, functional newsletters, people news and system comms.
- Play a critical role in bringing the Global People Vision and Strategy to life in the People function and with our key stakeholders
- Develop and lead the social media engagement for the Global Chief People Officer (CPO) and Global People Leadership team (GPLT) and provide Leadership Comms support for the Global CPO including drafting Executive level comms and guidance to GPLT.
- Lead/support function-wide touchpoints and events that foster engagement, alignment, feedback, and collaboration including monthly GP-ELG, quarterly Town Halls, Officer Coffee Chats etc.
- Lead/support the strategy, development, and content for Global People communications channels such as our @mcd, Teams Channels etc.
- Partner with teams within the Global People function to align, plan, and execute the Communications Calendar
- Partner with other global functions to ensure communications are properly sequenced and sharing synchronized messaging.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, HR or a related field, or equivalent experience in a relevant area.
- 5+ years of experience in communications, HR, or cross-functional program management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Experience in managing leader social media and both internal and external profile.
- Proven ability to think strategically and develop strong, outcome driven plans.
- Must have strong skill set in designing and delivering engaging meetings for large audiences (virtual and in person) including technical capability in meeting technology.
- Comfortable to use, navigate, or learn Smartsheet and other digital tools.
- Ability to influence and engage senior leadership, presenting insights and recommendations with confidence and credibility.
- Strong people skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects with global stakeholders.
- Strong skills in critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Self-driven, meticulous, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Able to navigate complexity, various collaborator needs, while delivering tangible outcomes.
