POSITION SUMMARY:

The Government Affairs & Market Access Manager Argentina is responsible to define and execute the Argentina Government Affairs & Market Access strategies for all Ultragenyx products. The position is responsible for developing and implementing Government Affairs and Market Access plans for Argentina, aligned with Southern Cone VP & General Manager (GM).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Economic or life sciences background (life science preferable)
  • Business MBA is desirable
  • At least 3-4 year experience in country market access role (pricing and reimbursement submissions), in high value specialty therapeutic areas. Orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, allowing the successful candidate to understand business drivers for individual products and translate them into solid value propositions
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong team collaboration
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify Key Stakeholders, in Argentina that are in charge of Pricing and Reimbursement decisions.
  • Manage effective legislative analysis, strategy development, and coalition building to support Ultragenyx’s policy objectives and business goals in Argentina.
  • Monitor Orphan Drugs Landscape at legislative policy level and collaborate with other functional areas, to support Ultragenyx’s policy and political positioning in Argentina.
  • When necessary, build relationships with key patients’ advocacy umbrella groups and work close with NGO and Patient Program representatives’ within Ultragenyx community.
  • Manage relationships with key industry groups and associations in partnership with Southern Cone GM.
  • Identify routes to strengthening relationships from a government affairs perspective as well as legislative advocacy initiatives.
  • Define and align Argentina P&R strategy with Regional Head and Southern Cine GM, i.e.:
  • Define appropriate price, within Globally approved pricing corridor, to maximize patient access and company sustainability.
  • Define implementation plan of the above strategy: submission sequence, develop appropriate HTA models or adapt international models, oversee and work actively in the preparation of Price & Reimbursement dossiers (managing vendors as appropriate)
