Responsibilities:
GET ON BOARD FOR A DYNAMIC AND PURPOSEFUL CAREER.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Procurement to join our Logistics team at Pacific International Lines (PIL). This role plays a critical part for our group procurement transversal initiatives such as policy, system, tools, training, cost improvement campaign and other related functions. You will also be responsible for global landside procurement spend in categories of depot, equipment management and repair, and intermodal services (trucking, rail) to achieve sustainable improvement based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principle
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive Group Procurement Transformation project with management team and ensure successful roll out of to be systems and processes
- Transversal focal for LMS and drive process improvement synergies alongside respective procurement category managers
- Part of LMS enhancement project team for procurement related modules
- Improve data visibility for transversal procurement enabling category managers to effectively perform spend and vendor performance management
- Formulate and align overall landside category strategy from both geographical and supplier perspective
- Accountable for overall annual landside procurement plan for respective categories
- Drive and lead regional offices and agencies on country specific action procurement plans
- Improve cost efficiency in container yards and inland transport spend category
- Review and improve procurement best practices in supplier negotiations
- Act as a point of escalation relating to dispute and issue resolution
- Drive financial and commercial analysis and reporting requirements against the projects as required
- Review and identify areas for improvement of inland contracts post sourcing in order to maximize contractual values and mitigate risks for next negotiation
