QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in computer science, computer engineering, commerce, business administration or related education and supplemented by five (5) years IT experience with at least one (1) year architecture experience in a large-scale application development environment.

We are seeking a dynamic Manager, Health System Architecture who is passionate about fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership and direction to a team of senior architects while driving the modernization and digitalization of our Information Management and Technology (IM/IT) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, prioritize, assign, and monitor work assignments for a team of senior architects delivering consultative and transformative architecture projects in a matrixed environment.
• Ensure effective collaboration within the Health ministry, other Government of Alberta ministries, health agencies, delivery partners, and vendors to develop modernized IM/IT portfolios and solutions.
• Guarantee that IM/IT solutions meet health system-wide needs and adhere to Government of Alberta IMT standards, as well as industry best practices.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
• Assist with operational activities, including plan development, capacity planning, and service design to optimize unit-level management.

• Oversee vendor relationships to ensure alignment with project goals, andAct in an enterprise or solution architect capacity when necessary to support project demands and priorities.
