About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Operations, the Manager, HR Advisory is responsible for leading the HR Advisory and HR Services functions, ensuring operational excellence and fostering a high-performing team. This role will handle confidential matters, implementing HR Service Delivery strategies, and driving the alignment of HR priorities with Cenovus’ People Strategy.
Our ideal candidate will be able to deal with sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner. This individual will be highly adaptable, skilled at managing multiple priorities, and will possess strong organizational, customer service, and analytical skills in order to meet deadlines. What you’ll do:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the HR Advisory and HR Services functions, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery
- Cultivate a high-performing team by driving alignment, focusing on priorities, and employee development
- Lead and complete time-sensitive and confidential matters, including executive support and confidential termination paperwork
- Support the implementation and upgrade of ServiceNow to HR Service Delivery, to enhance operational efficiency
- Carry out the strategy for employee and leader SelfServe, including change management initiatives to foster the desired organizational culture
- Build and implement an HR Knowledge Management Strategy within SelfServe to improve the accessibility of information and resources
- Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base within internal HR and external SelfServe portals
- Accountable for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of tools, policies, procedures, and processes necessary for executing specialized case management/advisory requests and people-related transactions
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma combined with a minimum of 12 years of HR experience
- Leadership experience is an asset
- Experience working within ServiceNow is preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to contribute to decisions and recommendations
- Superior organization skills, along with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
