Description:

Overview:
The Manager of HR Technology position involves working in a fast-paced Human Resources environment that supports functional teams including but not limited to HR, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Legal, Corporate Tax and our restaurant leaders. Extensive experience in evaluating, deploying and managing HRIS applications systems as well as providing analytics and reporting is required. This is a working manager position that requires strong analytical abilities along with highly effective communication skills. Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence the actions of others is essential to success in this role. Additionally, the ability to work under general direction and exercise independence and initiative in meeting Red Lobster HR fundamental goals within prescribed timelines is critical. In this position you will be an IT liaison as well a leader of system enhancements from the functional standpoint to ensure the best tools and processes are utilized within Human Resources Technology to support the Red Lobster business.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • PeopleSoft HCM and ERP functional administration
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate SQL/Query
  • Experience using IT ticketing systems similar to ServiceNow, Parature or BMC Remedy

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of experience administering an enterprise HR Management System, preferably PeopleSoft HCM including Payroll for North America, Compensation, Benefits
  • 6+ years of SQL programming experience
  • 5+ years managing direct reports; ability to grow, develop and motivate employees
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to HR, Payroll and Compensation company policies, programs and operations
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to translate data to various audiences
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, business acumen, critical evaluation, ethical practice and communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint
  • Experience with data warehouse structures and report development

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree, required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • SHRM Certification preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Performs system research, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of new HRIS system, maintenance and future upgrades
  • Partner with stakeholders and vendors develop data interfaces and systems integration
  • Develop an audit control process with key stakeholders (HRIS, Recruiting, Business Partners, Compensation, Benefits & Payroll)
  • Evaluate effectiveness of data security to ensure the confidentiality of employee data and secure processes for transmitting data externally and internally
  • Serve as principle liaison with technology departments on projects requiring IT support
  • Assist in the design and delivery of human capitol analytics reports & metrics to enable data based business decisions
  • Develop standardized reporting and reporting templates for HR processes
  • Work with functional users to create functional requirements for all reporting requests (self-service, HRIS reports, etc.)
  • Build and maintain processes to automate HR data reporting and management reporting tools
  • System Configuration, Enhancement and Maintenance: Lead the review, testing, and implementation of system upgrades, patches, and tax updates. Collaborate with functional and technical teams to coordinate application of updates/fixes and document the change. Use knowledge of the software to make system configuration and other changes as needed, coordinating with the system vendor as appropriate. Lead integration of assigned systems into overall HR system architecture.
  • Production Support: Coordinate production support for assigned HR system(s), including monitoring system performance, researching and resolving issues of unexpected results or process flaws, performing necessary resolution activities, and escalating issues with system vendor as needed. Participates in user team meetings.
  • Project Management: Assist process owners and teams with creating and managing projects to improve process and reporting, and act as project leader to create and implement project plans to system configuration and report changes.
  • Reports/Queries: Develop, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries by utilizing appropriate reporting tools to measure and assess process and system effectiveness, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and provide meaningful information to management.
