B2Gold is a low-cost international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. B2Gold forecasts total consolidated gold production of between 860,000 and 940,000 ounces in 2024.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ten (10) years of HR experience, with at least five (5) years in a managerial role, preferably in the mining, construction, heavy industrial or production sectors;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field;
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is required; and
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee HR programs and operations, ensuring compliance with B2Gold Nunavut’s policies, procedures, relevant labour laws and legal requirements; and develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that support the B2Gold Nunavut’s people cultural objectives and business mandates;
  • Be actively involved in workforce planning, and oversee all HR workstreams and administration;
  • Promote a positive work culture through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives; and lead HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, and employee wellness;
  • Provide direction to the people management team regarding employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions; and oversee investigations and ensure issues are resolved in a fair and consistent manner;
  • Manage the annual performance cycle, including providing direction to Heads of Departments on setting annual objectives, employee career development plans and on addressing performance issues; and
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies, including leadership and supervisory competency development and non-technical training & development programs/framework.
  • Perform other duties as required in support of Company objectives.
